Rent storage space

What are the storage space prices?

Prices depend on the rental location, the size of your storage space and therefore the items you’ll want to store, the location within the building and your required rental period.
Request a quotation for storage space or call our freephone service line 088 – 255 72 33. Then you will receive an indication of the costs of the various storage spaces.

How long do I have to rent a storage space?

The minimum period for furniture storage has been set at one week. The notice period is also 1 week.

How long can I rent storage space for?

At ALLSAFE you can rent storage space for an indefinite period of time.

When can I reach my storage space?

You can access all storage units 7 days a week, from 6.00 AM to 11.00 PM. And, if desired, even 24 hours a day.

Can I visit you for more information about storage space?

If you want to know more about our conditions for renting storage space, or about the way in which you can store your belongings, you can always visit one of our branches. It is useful to make an appointment in advance, via the website or our service line, so that we have time to give you our full attention.

Should I book my storage space well in advance?

It’s advisable to book storage. Book your storage space well in advance and you won’t be faced with surprises. Certain storage sizes are very popular. As soon as you know the exact dimensions you’ll want to rent, we would advise you to record them by signing a rental agreement. The rental period will start on the day you start using your storage space. Being able to rent your storage space well in advance is an advantage, as you won’t have to come to us on the moving day to organise everything. Booking a storage unit at ALLSAFE is free of charge.

Can I rent storage space as a private customer?

Of course you can rent storage space as a private customer at ALLSAFE Self Storage! ALLSAFE Self Storage doesn’t differentiate between private or business storage rental. We therefore welcome both private and business customers to rent storage space. The only difference between private and business customers is that companies can settle their VAT and private customers don’t pay VAT.

Our employees will gladly inform you about storage space rental for private customers.

Which goods are prohibited to store?

Stored goods may not be perishable, flammable or illegal. Examples of goods which may not be stored at ALLSAFE Self Storage:

If the rental unit with the size of your choice appears to be unavailable, ALLSAFE Self Storage will help you find another suitable ALLSAFE Self Storage location in the area (transportation included).

Do I need to insure my stored goods?

We recommend insuring your stored goods, but you’re not obliged to arrange your insurance through ALLSAFE. If you already have a household insurance policy of your own, you can arrange cover through your own household insurance and fill out an indemnification at our service desk.

What does it cost to insure goods through ALLSAFE?

For € 2.50 per month you will be covered for damages up to € 1000 as a result of: fire, theft, water, rainfall, vandalism after burglary and more. You can insure the goods in your unit up to € 22,500 at ALLSAFE.

Make sure you prepare a proper estimate of the value of your stored goods.

Can I rent a smaller or larger storage space than I rent now?

You can! If you want to rent a smaller or larger storage space the following month, you can move to a larger or smaller storage space completely free of charge at any time.

Our employees at the branches are happy to tell you more about switching to a smaller or larger storage space.

What is the telephone number of the service office?

You can call us free of charge on 088 – 255 72 33. You can also make an appointment at one of our branches via this telephone number. Then we will ensure that we have time at the location to give you our full attention.

How are your buildings protected against fire?

ALLSAFE Mini Storage locations are equipped with advanced fire detection systems and are connected to national control rooms, minimizing the risk of fire. For example, each storage unit is equipped with an unique unit watcher with heat detection, so that immediate action can be taken at the earliest stage.

Unlike other storage companies, almost all ALLSAFE buildings are detached, minimizing the chance of a fire spreading to a neighboring building.

As a precaution, we apply a strict control and ban on the storage of flammable goods and we conduct an extensive monthly inspection of the safety facilities. For example, our buildings are ideally suited for storing and storing your valuables, and are therefore a much safer alternative than a house or garage box.

Contract & Cancel

What should I bring when signing a private rental agreement?

When concluding a private rental agreement with ALLSAFE Mini Storage, you must submit and comply with the following:

  • Identification
  • A recent bank statement or mail item (from the previous month)
  • Rental amount until the end of the month
  • Deposit of 1 month rental with a minimum of € 70

What should I do if I can't come by the locations to sign the rental agreement?

We’ll gladly assist you if you can’t organise your rental agreement at one of our locations.

Our moving assistant will come to you to organise the contract and can instantly also collect your items and bring them to your storage unit. The required documents (your identification document and a recent mail item with your address on it) will be scanned.

What are the conditions of a remote rental contract?
  • Rent must be paid (or authorization issued)
  • Deposit must be paid (or authorization issued)
  • Items must be manageable by one person

How can I cancel my rental contract for my storage space at ALLSAFE?

1. The ALLSAFE cancellation card
You can collect and sign this cancellation card at the service desk at your location.

2. Write a cancellation letter yourself
You can also write a cancellation letter yourself, stating your name, address, unit number and your signature. The letter can be sent by post to the relevant branch.

How can I reserve the moving van or trailer?

Both tenants and non-tenants can rent a trailer from ALLSAFE. Renting the removal van is only possible for tenants.

The costs are € 15 per hour.

Tenants of a storage space of 6m³ or larger can use the trailer once for 1 whole day FREE from 6.00AM to 11.00PM. If you want to use the trailer before 9.00 AM, you must collect the key from the location 1 day in advance. Please discuss this with the branch manager.

I am a new tenant. Do I get a discount on transport?

Of course!
New tenants get a free moving van for a few hours or a trailer for a day. The conditions are built up according to the size of the unit:

  • 1-3 m3: no discount.
  • 6-21 m3: 2 hours free removal van (with 50 km free) or free trailer for one day.
  • 21-36 m3: 3 hours of free removal van (with 50 km free) or free trailer for one day.
  • 36m3 or larger: 4 hours free of charge with the removal van (with 50 km free) or a day with the trailer.

Please note: the minimum rental period is one month

What does renting the ALLSAFE moving van cost after the free hours?

After the free hours, the costs are € 15 per hour. This is excluding fuel (€ 0.25 per km).

Can ALLSAFE provide transport from and to my storage space?

You have a storage space, but no proper transport. No problem: irrespective of whether your storage space is in Leiderdorp or Utrecht, there is a moving van available for you at each ALLSAFE Self Storage location. We’ll offer this moving van partly free of charge* if you rent your storage space with us. We also offer trailers. This means you’ll always be guaranteed of transport from and to your storage space.

Can ALLSAFE take care of storage space as well as my entire move?

Yes, certainly. In addition to storage space, we often notice our customers also require a moving service. That’s why ALLSAFE can offer the moving assistant; we’ll come and pick up your items and will store everything safely.

When it comes to a large move and you are not able to help yourself, we also have a solution! We have very good agreements with moving specialists. We’ll pass on your name, address details and phone number to them, so they can make an appointment for a free quotation.

Our employees will gladly inform you about the moving assistant/moving service and furniture storage at ALLSAFE Self Storage.

Pay

How can I pay the rent of my storage space?

ALLSAFE Self Storage accepts one method of payment for invoices. We’ll use direct debit in accordance with your monthly invoice.

How can I pay my outstanding invoices?

You must come to your location to pay your outstanding invoices. You can arrange this at the service desk. Ask your Branch Manager if you can pay your outstanding invoice(s). You then pay the bill with your bank card.

How can I request an old invoice?

If you want to request an old invoice, you can visit the relevant location.

How much are the costs for sending an invoice by post

We can send the invoice to you monthly by post, this is € 3,95 per month.
We can also send the invoice via email, which is free of charge.

As a private tenant, do I need to pay VAT on external storage at ALLSAFE?

Private customers are exempt from paying VAT on external storage. Renting the external storage of your choice at ALLSAFE Self Storage is therefore a smart and economical choice for private customers

Business tenants do have to pay VAT on their external storage.

I want to rent storage space for one week. Do I have to pay a full month's rent at allsafe?

No, that wouldn’t be fair. You only pay the actual number of weeks you rent a storage box at ALLSAFE. We’ll reimburse overpaid rent. This way, you’ll only pay for storage you actually use.

I need storage space for five weeks. Do I need to pay two full months?

Absolutely not. ALLSAFE Self Storage can offer archive storage per week. If you rent archive storage for five weeks, you’ll have the space available for five weeks. The minimum storage period is one week and after that rental for an indefinite period applies.

What makes ALLSAFE unique in terms of storage space payments?

Many storage providers will charge you per month, even if your rental period is shorter than a full month. If you rent for one week, these storage providers will charge you one month, which you won’t get back in case of early termination.

Access

How does access to my storage space work?

You will rent a locked garage box, to which only you will have the key. Only other renters can access the building, where the garage boxes are located, by means of a personal PIN. This means the safety of your garage box is guaranteed at all times, without your access being limited.

Can I give others access to my storage unit?

Yes, certainly. However, to guarantee your safety, it’s important not to share your access code with anyone. Have you already shared your code, or would you like to grant someone else access to your unit? Then you should authorise that person. You can arrange this at the service desk of your ALLSAFE Self Storage location.

Did you not receive an access code in the My ALLSAFE App?

This may be due to the following factors:

  • If you are not using the latest version of the My ALLSAFE app, update the app to the latest version. You should now receive an access code.
  • Make sure you have a 4G connection. If you don’t have a connection, turn on 4G or find a place with 4G coverage. You should now receive an access code.
  • Check if there is a malfunction with your telephone provider. Check allestoringen.nl for this. When there is a malfunction, this website will keep an eye on it until the malfunction is resolved.

If you still cannot receive a code, please contact your ALLSAFE office.

Why can't I install the app on my phone?

Check if your phone meets the minimum system requirements:

  • Android from 6.0
  • IOS from 12.2

If it still doesn’t work, it’s best to come by during opening hours of the location where you’re renting. Then our office colleagues will be happy to help you install it.

I am being logged out of the My ALLSAFE App, what now?

This is not your fault, this is a temporary error. Log in again with the code you received by text message when you signed your rental contract.

I entered my access code, why didn't I receive a verification code?

Check if your phone has coverage. Then click on “Send new verification code” or go back and re-enter your access code to receive the verification code.

Why does the bluetooth icon in the app remain red or turn yellow when pressed?

Make sure your bluetooth and location services are turned on (via settings on your phone). Press the bluetooth icon several times at different distances to the reader. If this doesn’t work, uninstall the app from your phone and reinstall it.
You have previously received the access code from us via a text message when you signed your contract.

If it still doesn’t work, come by during the opening hours of your location so that our colleagues can take a look.

The bluetooth icon in the app turns green, the reader too, but nothing happens. What now?

Log out of the My ALLSAFE app, log in again with the code you received earlier by SMS (during contract signing) and try again. Press the bluetooth icon several times at different distances to the reader. If this doesn’t work, uninstall the app from your phone and reinstall it.

If it still doesn’t work, come by during the opening hours of your location so that our colleagues can take a look.

Why is my APPLE PAY activated when I press the bluetooth icon?

Make sure you keep enough distance with your phone from the reader. Then it shouldn’t happen again!

Mailbox & Business address

Can I rent a mailbox for business and private use?

At ALLSAFE you can arrange both.

What does renting a PO box cost?

You already rent your own PO box for € 15.95 excluding VAT per month

What do you have when you rent a mailbox from ALLSAFE?
  • Your own postal address at ALLSAFE Mini Storage;
  • Daily use of your mailbox at ALLSAFE between 6:00 AM and 11:00 PM;
  • Delivery of the mail to your PO box on working days;
  • Free e-mail notifications of your received mail items.
What additional services do you get when you rent a mailbox?

Unlimited e-mail notification: you will receive an e-mail when there is mail in your mailbox. That way you’ll never come for nothing.

What is the minimum rental period for a mailbox?

The minimum rental period is 6 months, for both private and business use.

Can you use the mailbox for registration with the GBA?

No, the PO box cannot be used for registration with the municipality. To rent a PO box, we need an address where you are registered with the municipality.

What are the costs of a business address at ALLSAFE?

The costs for a business adress is € 47.95 excluding VAT per month.

You can also use this postal address as a business address for registration with the Chamber of Commerce*

What additional services do you get when you rent a business address?

In addition, a space of at least 6m3 must also be rented. Please note: the postal address cannot be used for registration in the GBA.

In order to successfully register a company at one of our addresses, it must be made plausible that the sustainable business operations actually take place at ALLSAFE. As a tenderer, you must show this to the Chamber of Commerce. For example, if you store your webshop stock at ALLSAFE Mini Storage, this is a form of sustainable business practice. How does the ALLSAFE shipping area work?

24 hour access to the Shipping Area for a fixed amount per month. Also accessible if you don’t rent space at ALLSAFE.

We’ll grant the discount amount to be agreed upon in the form of time. This means you’ll be exempted from paying rent for a certain period and pay full rent after that. Why is there a yellow lock on my storage space?

When the rental agreement comes into effect, we will remove our yellow lock from the storage space so that you can hang your own lock on the space. Changing the lock is only possible during office hours! That is why we advise, when you rent from us, to buy a lock from us and change it immediately after signing the rental agreement.

It is possible that as a tenant you come by after office hours and find a yellow lock, then unfortunately you have to come by the next day during office hours.
