5 elements for an ideal lounge garden!
The garden can be the ideal place to relax, especially in the summer. Take a dip in the pool, sink back comfortably into your lounge set, or invite friends over for a barbecue. Your garden does need to be ready for it, though. What’s the best way to tackle this? We cover 5 elements to get your lounge garden in tip-top shape!
1. Comfortable garden furniture
A comfortable lounge set is an absolute must-have in your garden. Being able to sit, lie down, or just hang out comfortably is the beginning of a relaxed evening. Lounge sets come in all shapes and sizes. Can’t find the perfect set for you? Dive into your garden shed and grab your tools! With a few pallets, a bucket of paint, and some cushions, you can custom-build your ideal garden furniture. A great project! When building benches, consider creating storage space underneath the seating area. That’s another great way to save space!
2. Garden lighting
Lounge evenings often have a tendency to continue well past sunset. The kids are in bed (or they’ve stayed so quiet you temporarily forgot to send them to bed) and you’re still enjoying some after-dinner conversation with friends or your partner. Outdoor lighting can completely perfect the atmosphere.
3. A canopy in your lounge garden
On extremely hot days, a canopy in your garden can offer great protection against the scorching sun. When it gets later in the evening and cools down a bit, a canopy can effectively retain the heat. Combined with patio heaters, a fire pit, or a still-smoldering barbecue, this can make your evenings extra comfortable. Plus, you won’t necessarily have to run inside for a quick rain shower. You can build a canopy yourself, but you could also (partially) convert your garden shed into a lounge corner, for example. Things stored in there that you don’t need very often can be stored elsewhere. Think of specialty tools, your ski gear, and building materials. Your belongings are safely stored away, and you make optimal use of the space in your garden!

4. A jacuzzi in your garden
The ultimate finishing touch for any summer garden is definitely a jacuzzi or hot tub. What could be better than sitting or lying in the water on those sunny days? A bit of cooling off from the heat during the day, and a hot, bubbly bath in the evening. An (ice) cold bath can also be highly beneficial after a workout! You can have a jacuzzi built in, but an inflatable jacuzzi is also an option. Nice and easy! Just Google ‘inflatable jacuzzi’ and you’ll find plenty of online retailers.

5. Throw a fun garden party to introduce your lounge garden
Your lounge garden is now ready to be seen. Invite your friends and family over and make it a beautiful day! Your garden certainly won’t hold you back. You can sit in the jacuzzi, plop down on the lounge sofa under the canopy, fire up the barbecue, and enjoy the beautifully lit garden until late at night. You are basically prepared for anything. The only thing you can’t control is the weather. So here’s hoping for some nice sunshine!
